Redirecting to hosted site

Is there a way to redirect my blog site, so that when someone clicks on/goes to my old Wordpress.com blog, it will send them to my new URL?

    A really good question and, unfortunately, the answer appears to be no:

    Since you don’t have that many posts, what I would do is copy them to your new Wordpress installation, get the URL’s for them and then go into your Wordpress.com posts and put something prominent on each of them that says something like:

    “THIS SITE HAS MOVED - click here to see this post at www.mywebsite.com”

    … and add a link to the identical post on your Wordpress site.
